Our garden in West Sussex backs onto a field and I'm a fairly 'live and let live' sort of gardener with the result that a number of wild flowers wander over and join the things I've actually planted.

Cow parsley has to be one of the prettiest of these - it's one of those flowers that probably gets ignored as it appears in every hedgerow. But  the intricate masses of tiny flowers are worth a closer look.

The individual flowers are so tiny I chose to give an impression rather than represent each one - but I do love the way they seem to form little constellations like stars.

The blue background of the original design is the colour of a spring sky (on a good day, this is the UK!) However Cow Parsley has turned out to be one of those designs that works really well on many background colours.
