Hi, I'm Jeanette Mercer, surface pattern designer and interior designer, based near Horsham in West Sussex. It has been a long held personal dream to design my own fabric and now environmentally friendly print-on-demand services have made that dream a reality. Welcome to Fresh Made Designs....
How the site is organised
I am continually working on new pattern designs which I am organising into collections. If you hover over 'Design Collections' in the menu you should see all the existing collections. By clicking on any one of them you'll be able to access a number of other pages. There's a page for each pattern design within the collection with more images and the story of the pattern.
Shop
Click on the Shop tab and you can then browse by pattern design or by type of item.
Any item you see can be made in any of our pattern designs. If there's a particular pattern you like and we don't have the item you want in that design, please email us and we'll tell you how long it would take.

Colour, pattern and texture
I spent most of my high school life, when allowed, in the school art rooms (and probably in truth some times when I should have been elsewhere!) I was then, and still am, fascinated by colour, pattern and texture - particularly that inspired by the natural world.
In addition to drawing and painting, I learned printmaking and over the years have practised many different creative crafts. The idea of mixing techniques has always appealed, from turning photos into lino or screen prints, to turning sketches into knitting patterns or clay jewellery.
I believe we and our homes benefit from some creativity and individuality. I design what makes me happy - I hope some of my designs make you smile too.
